Welcome to our "Celebrating 50 Years of Saving History" geocache event. There are four caches hidden around the town of LaCrosse. Participants may pick up coordinates and instructions at the registration table beginning at 10:00 a.m. The four caches are located within a two-mile (2 mile) radius of La Crosse. There is no fee to participate. All caches will be removed at the conclusion of the event.
Each cache contains a red paper. If you are first to find the cache, take the red paper with you to redeem your FTF prize.
How it Works
Registrants will receive a list of hints along with their coordinates. The four caches are all related to the history of Rush County. When you find a cache, remove one of the history sheets. The first person to find all of the caches is the winner.
This is an event cache. All cache boxes will be removed at the end of the event. All participants must sign the release form at the registration table prior to participation. Coordinates can be picked up after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the registration table located in the city auditorium. There will be a maximum of 30 participants (individuals or teams). No CACHE is located on private property. All caches are located within a 2 mile radius of La Crosse. Pull only one history sheet from each cache. All history sheets must be returned to the registration table by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in order to redeem your prize. Please replace the cache where it was found when you are done. Once you return the 4 history sheets, you may make your selection from the prize table. Prizes will be awarded on a first come-first serve basis. In case of a tie, winners will be chosen by random drawing. All judges decisions are final. The KBWCA and affiliated parties are not responsible for accidents.
